The Y-Ba-Cu-0 compounds were prepared under various conditions. The effect of prolonged milling time showed a positive tendency for the formation of regular shape crystallites. This is due to the increased homogeneity of the starting mixtures which enhanced the solid state reactions. The superconducting transition temperature was about 90K.
