The Townsend primary ionization coefficients obtained using three analytical techniques to current'amplification method are reported. The analysis techniques used are; three point technique, least square curve fitting technique and Gosseries plot. The primary ionization coefficient obtained by Townsend's method and Gosseries' method are also compared. The result of the measurements comfirm that the influence of different techniques of analysis as well as different experimental methods in the determination of a /p for five values of E/p, 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 is about < 8%.
