Nilai penghadaman rumput hamparan, Axonopus compressus, oleh ikon kap rumput, Ctenopharyngodon idella, adalah 20.92 ± 0.47%. Untuk protin kasar dan abu, nilai penghadamannya adalah 62.98 ± 1.04% dan 16.52 ± 1.52%. Tiada bahan selulose yang dihadamkan.
